“So if she was having an affair with another man, is it possible she could have confided in him? And he somehow discovered what we did to her and now hopes to seek vigilante revenge?”

The Teacher is a thriller novel about a young girl named Addie who in the past year has lost her father and been accused of an affair with her teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett are her new teachers for math and English this year. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett are the perfect couple in everyone’s eyes, he is handsome and she is beautiful. Although Mr. Bennett is the students favorite and Mrs. Bennett is not, each of them become a large part of Addie’s life.

Good Reads Writes:

“Addie can’t be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that’s what everyone says.

But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet…”

“I imagine dying is like standing on the precipice of that abyss, knowing that you will fall in at any second.”

I would love to give this book five stars but the ending for me did not work; once you read it you will understand. Throughout the book I thought the ending was predictable, but as a good thriller should be, it through me in a loop. The ending was a little like I thought it would be but the small plot twist didn’t seem to make sense and honestly made the ending to the book not very good. The book in general was easy to read, like many Freida books and kept me entertain and waiting more as time went on. The wasn’t one of my favorite books of hers, but was still interesting and fun to read.

“He just called me his soulmate. It’s wild, because I feel the exact same way, but I would have thought I was imagining it if he hadn’t said it. “You can’t help who you form a connection with. Right?”
